Job Description:

Minimum Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides direct patient care to the multiply injured, critically ill, and surgical patients under the supervision of the trauma staff. 2. Documents clinical findings in the medical record. Coordinates patient/family care needs. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides patient/family education related to injury/illness. Participates in clinical research. Serves as a resource consultant regarding the care of the multiply injured patient. QUALIFICATIONS: Personal: Evidence of skills in: Effective Communication Organization Problem solving Decision-making Stress management Time management Computer applications Flexibility Excellent verbal and written skills Professional: At least 2 years of recent inpatient experience in intensive care or emergency department. Previous NP or PA experience preferred. For physician assistant, completion of PA program, BS degree required (MS degree preferred), national board certification, and licensure by NC Medical Board. For nurse practitioners, completion of accredited NP program, MSN degree, national board certification, and licensure by the Board of Nursing/NC Medical Board subcommittee. ACLS, TNCC, and ATLS (audit) required within 6 months of hire. Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) course within 1 year of hire. Other Information 1 full - time vacancy.
